Very nice location by the border of Czech Republic&Austria.|The hotel situated exactly by the castle.|The night was very relaxing and quiet here, the room is clean.|Bed was comfortable and sleep quality was 10/10.|The breakfast was simple, and fresh with a tasty cofee.|I would recommend the hotel based upon price and quality.

Hotel Salety occupies a nice renovated building right in front of the stunning Valtice chateau and next to the back of the main church. I suppose that originally it was a service building, like for stables or guards. Half of the rooms face the pathway to the chateau, the other half (cheaper ones) have windows on the unappealing inner courtyard of the agricultural museum, currently under renovation. I probably was there in low season, the hotel looked quite empty and it was staffed only during the day, even though apparently there was somebody in the reception at night for emergencies. The rooms are renovated in a quite modern way, the minibar was not working though and the air condition needed a "push" in the form of a request to the reception (solved). Good strong wifi, comfortable beds, provision of toiletries was fine. The minuses were a generally uninterested attitude by the staff, always too busy to talk to each other rather than acknowledge the presence of (paying) customers, but when taken alone the ladies at the reception were always acceptably polite. The breakfast looked a bit "abandoned", it was in theory available from 8 to 10 but once I got there at 9 and most stuff was gone, including cutlery and plates. I had to chase staff around to be given somewhere to eat on, which I find very annoying. A good hotel should make sure that everything is available for the entire duration of the breakfast time. No pastry to speak of, the two types of bread were both quite unappealing for me (dark bread with cumin and classic czech "rohlik"). Also, I had doubts that any room service was done, since the bed was found always the way I left it, but then I noticed some new towels and toiletries so yes somehow came but strangely ignored the bed. Weird. Overall a nice place but a better customer care is needed, since it is not a budget hotel.

This hotel has a fantastic location, just at the foot of the castle. I found the room and facilities absolutely pristine and incredibly good value for money. It has a modern, light feel and even smelled nice walking in. The staff were also consistently helpful and friendly.
The 'castle view' of my room required a bit of craning and you could hear some noise from adjoining rooms. While the breakfast is very nice, the eggs aren't individually prepared and the selection a bit more restricted than other hotels in the area.
However, it was overall a very enjoyable stay.

The location is great, the rooms are decent, although shower head didn't hold in place and water pressure in the sink was meh.

Service could have been better.
Our train was in the evening and we wanted to leave our luggage in the room, ideally to come back and have a quick rest before the travel. We asked if late check-out was possible. No, late check-out is only till 12. We'd have been happy to pay for it, but even extending our stay by 1 night would require us to "check out and then check in". Like, what? Yes, we were allowed us to leave our luggage at the reception, but any reasonable hotel manager would've let us to keep the room until we leave. It's corona times, the hotel is literally empty!

If you have a maxi dress and want to hang it up in the wardrobe forget it (they are like children's wardrobes). You also have very few hangers, I think they expect people to fold their clothes and put them in the cupboards. The hotel is clean & tidy. The breakfasts are disappointing to what I have had in other Czech hotels. Rooms are on the small side (very).

The best on this hotel is its location by the chateau. The hotel is nice, but the room was quite small and the inner court, to which we had window, was in a total mess (maybe renovation?). The staff was nice, at the reception as well as in the restaurant, and food was good. We didn't have any problems except for a light from fire alarm constantly blinking during the night. That was terrible. Breakfast was good, not particularly wide offer, but fine. We got the room for a good price on booking, for normal price they have on their web I would consider it overpriced.

First off the location of the hotel is great and the hotel itself is set in a beautiful building. The town around is fantastic and we'll worth a visit. Unfortunately the hotel failed in some key points... The receptionist was not there 24 hours, the bed linen was not really clean, when we came to our roo.m there was a bundle of bed linen in front of our door which was never taken out, the breakfast quality was poor with no fruit to speak of. Plus points other than location were nice rooms, free Wi-Fi and parking. However this hotel has to do much better to deserve a 4* rating.

Stopped there for a lunch after perfect biking. The place is nice and comfy. The food was perfect (had cheeks and cabbage soup), just lovely. The price was extremely friendly! Sometimes the staff could be a little faster but no hard meanings. Very pleasant lunch altogether.
