Helpful and friendly reception staff.||Rooms with slanted roofs, so not ideal for taller people - saw two of them, so all may not be like this. TVs are small portable sets with no English speaking channels - probably the most basic cable package. Bathrooms have seen better days. No mini bar. Free wifi in most parts of the hotel - ask at reception for code.||Very handy for the centre of Valtice, where the castle and plenty of wine cellars can be found - walkable in about 5 minutes. Lednice is also a short drive away.||Restaurant pretty good - beer batter pork medallions are recommended. Good beer, as to be expected in the Czech republic. Breakfast also pretty decent.||||Overall - can't grumble for the price.

It is almost four months we have returned from out trip in the southern part of Moravia and we still have very bad memories due to our stay at the Apollon Hotel. We bought a package that included 3 nights, half board, bikes rental and wine tasting. Food was terrible, especially dinners. Breakfasts were quite ok, but if you go to the supermarket and buy just bread you will be much more satisfied. Our room was small and the equipment was probably bought in the communism era. Staff (not in the restaurant) was rude and unpleasant. Apollon hotel is not a cheap one, so you expect services to be on a sufficient level, but it as a huge mistake. We have visited a lot of places in Europe and the USA, but this hotel in Valtice was absolutely the worst one. We do not recommend to stay there.

We went to Valtice for two nights, stayed in Hotel Apollon. We have chosen the hotel because we had a plan that required us to be located in Valtice. Location of hotel is very good, 5 mins to town center. But that is all... Staff on reception and also in restaurant very unfriendly, food average czech quality - but like 15 years before! Breakfasts like from close supermarket, each day same. Room very small, not clean, shelves and lockers covered with dust. Wine tasting in wine cellar average. But we met there friendly people, so at least something. Generally, I dont recommend this place.

We arrived on a very hot evening and it was great to drink cool beers and share a huge cheese platter and freshly roasted almonds in the garden. Our room was perfectly adequate and the staff were very helpful.

standard 3-star hotel with great location close to the centre of town. great beakfast. room no 102 was excellent and very spacious. very friendly staff...helped us with every request...it was a nice weekend at the hotel...
