Great food, nice staff, comfortable wellness and mid-size pool. Reception staff easily organize renting e-bikes, golf, shuttle to Horal hotel with thermal pool and tennis court.
Beautiful nature and hiking trails.
Just little bit overpriced and limited comfort due to reconstruction.

Modern, clean and comfortable hotel with delicious cuisine, intented for calm relaxation, resting, and wellness holidays. ||All the personel are nice, helpful and friendly, doing their very best to make every guest feel good and comfortable. No problem getting an early check-in at no extra cost.||Room was very comfortable, clean and quit, there was also a bathrobe and slippers for access to wellness.||You can visit a pleasant cocktail bar with many kinds of cocktails and skillful bartenders who can advise you in choosing the right drink ;-)||Last but not least - it is a non-smoking hotel.

Got there mid week. No problem getting an early check in at no extra cost. Lanterna is a part of a 3 hotel 'complex' (inverted commas as hotels are couple of kilometers away). Staying in one does allow you to use the facilities in another. |Used spa only in our hotel and it is truly a relaxing experience. Had dinner included in room rate and must say it was very tasty. It was a set 4 course meal but every single dish was to our liking. After dinner had a couple of cocktails in hotel's cocktail bar, we were the only ones there so did not stay long. I can imagine though place being really good over the weekends or in the height of season. |Breakfast self service buffet with really good hot and cold selection with chef making speciala to order like ham and eggs, bacon and eggs or pancakes. |Altogether great place.

You go to Velke Karlovice for the nature. A good hotel only improves the experience, and this might be the best option around. We arrived early, at noon, but there was no problem checking in. The receptionists are friendly and knowledgeable, and they speak enough English to get by. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but nothing special. The tv has no English channels, just Czech and German. The wifi works great. The showers are small. Free chocolates and a free bottle of Evian water await you upon arrival. The Hotel Lanterna has a nice enough pool, but it also has an agreement with the nearby Hotel Horal, that you can use their pool too, which is much larger, for free. It is a 4 km hike along a bike path to Horal, and if you stay at Lanterna, you should certainly try out both pools. At Lanterna, be sure to try the spa, that is, if you don't mind going naked, as swimming suits are not allowed (they give you robes and sheets though). Lanterna is noted for its restaurant, which offers a 7 course gourmet meal with a nice view of the surrounding hills. Be sure to visit the cocktail bar downstairs, which offers a wide variety of drinks, both bottled and mixed. One negative was that our floor, the 4th, was under repair, and we didn't have access to the elevator at times. Another negative was the customer service at the breakfast buffet. But the positives far outweigh the negatives. So give Lanterna a try, and enjoy.

Only experienced restaurant. I visited the place several times and never get disappointed. Food was always excellent, staff professional. The interior is very stylish. Tables are very neat. Traditional food prepared in modern way from local resources. Children corner available. Welness facilities. The hotel is great both for summer and winter holiday.

Excellent hotel to relax and getaway from the city. Located on the side of the forest with beautiful views. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is an indoor pool and sauna. You can schedule a relaxing message to pamper yourself. This is a hidden treasure.

A hotel with a pleasant atmosphere, clean rooms and good foods. SPA is pleasant but with small pool. Under the hotel there is a bar with rum experts. The surrounding area is suitable for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. Also suitable for families with children.

Where to find the time border? - There is no easy answer. It is much easier to discover the geografical border. If a person uses a lamp, one can find much more. The word lanterna means a source of light so you can imagine that the spa hotel bearing this name offers many delights to their visitors. My body loved the Thai massage, I also enjoyed walking next to the hotel picking mushrooms and I liked the hotel gastronomy too. Many thanks to all members of the Valachian resort.
