We went here for Sunday lunch for about the 15th time.
Once again, as always....AMAZING
The food is cooked to perfection everytime. Every dish on the menu is superb.
I can personally recommend the grill mox and the pork.

YOU MUST RESERVE A TABLE, they are extremely popular and well booked

Really great food!!! Definitely order the grilled salmon. They grill it directly on an open flame which is inside the dining area. The ambience and atmosphere is lovely. The servers are polite and helpful, but not pushy. The service was prompt and professional. I can't find 1 fault with this restaurant.

Despite of little higher prices, the great gastronomy and wonderful place. The location under the castle is delightful.
Great dishes, nice place with bar and wood grill... dog friendly, children's kitchen, clean toilet with diaper change station.
Long story short: the best choice with adequate prices ?

U Namořnika means At the Mariner's. ||||I have often stayed at this wonderful penzion and enjoyed meals in the restaurant too. The hosts are always welcoming and adaptable. The rooms [there are only four so don't hang about if you want to book] are stylish. They are new with a slight sea-fairing theme and also capture the rustic setting of the village. The facilities are excellent and scrupulously maintained.||||The restaurant prepares local meats on an open griddle. The range of meals on the menu is extensive. All food is home-made and freshly prepared. The beer is excellent and there's good Moravian wine available too.||||Hukvaldy is the birthplace of the world-renowned composer, Leoš Janáček and the little cottage he owned as a country retreat is open most of the year. There are wonderful walks to be had in the nature reserve, the Bishop's Forest.

Wow, wow, wow, wow and wow. Absolutely amazing food. We stopped for lunch after a walk around Hukvaldy castle.
The meat is cooked over an open wood fire, simple presentation, maximim taste. This is one of, if not the best food i habe had in Ostrava!
The lemonades and deserts are also great. Highly recommend the apple lemonade.
You MUST visit but book ahead, it is extremely busy and popular.

2nd visit, still completely amazing food, you absolutely must try BUT reserve a table well ahead, people are literally queuing outside the door to get in.
This time we ate:
- boneless rabbit with creamy vegetable sauce (svickova) and dumplings - rich, creamy, tastebud explosion
- pork loin with french green beans and bacon lardons, homemade potatoe croquets - juicy, tender, perfectly cooked

We've been in the town to see the famous castle Hukvaldy, and then had dinner U Namornika. It is actually a restaurant with some hotel rooms but we didn't stay there, so cannot review the hotel part. The restaurant was lovely inside, staff friendly, menus are in English and German as well and the staff speak well enough to order food. They had a fireplace in the centre of the restaurant and actually cooked the steaks and skewers over it, it tasted increadible, juicy and delicious. We actually made a trip there again couple of days later just to eat at the place again. We ordered the young bull skweres with rosemary potatoes, young bull steaks and pork medalion skewers and all the meat was wonderful; we also each ordered a sauce with the meal, mushroom and blue cheese, they were lovely as well, and i had soup for starter. Everything tasted nice, one of the best meals ever really as the meats were so good. It was october so i had mulled red wine, there was a good choice of hot and cold drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. But too full to eat dessert so haven't had that.

Great meal and good service. Have been visiting the region for years and this is one of our favorite places to eat at. The three mix dish is amazing.

I've visited this restaurant several times in the past 6 months and I've never had a bad meal or service there. They keep up with the standards which is apparent from their menu. It's not too long, yet interesting enough. One of my favourite dishes is beef cheeks, the sauce is wonderful. They also prepare great salmon and trout. I would say their signature dishes are grill specialties from grilled chicken pork and also steaks. I can hardly recommend those, reasonably priced too. The restaurant is divided in three sort of sections, in the middle one you sit by the open fire place which also serves as the grill. Perfect place for romantic dates and anniversaries, as well as business meetings and private parties. They offer accommodation as well 4 rooms. This place is definitely worth the try.
