An absolute must if you're in Prague. Better than Prague's Castle (and has been around longer). You just can't miss it. Take a nice stroll around the whole area in the evening when the lights are turned in and you get that enchanting vibe that is unique to Prague, sipping on a hot drink. Perfect way to spend a chilly winter evening. The church is also an absolute pearl - my favourite if them all.

Just about the most beautiful Basilica I have ever visited.
The architecture and craftsmanship is just extraordinary, the painted glass windows represent different stories from the bible and they are just amazing.
You can hear religious music playing in the church and it has an amazing calming effect.
From the outside it is stunning, but from the inside it is just out of this world or at least out of this century.
Every hour the bells ring, it is fantastic to listen to them.

Vyšehrad is one of the most important Czech national monuments and symbols of the Czech Republic, the first written records about it date back to 1070. It consists of a hillfort, a castle and a fortress. The most famous period of Vyšehrad is during the reign of the first crowned Czech king Vratislav II, who chose it as his seat and founded the royal acropolis, the royal chapter and the church of Saints Peter and Paul here.

I’m in love with the place. Vyšehrad is one of my favorite places from Prague, it’s a charming, beautiful and peaceful park with nice views to the city and the river.

Ideal location for taking a stroll and getaway from the bustling city hub.
You should probably set up a few hours to enjoy it because it takes some time to explore.

Amazing views from the walls of Vyšehrad. Place worth to visit anytime in the morning, or evening. Each time has different appeal and feeling. Plenty of small cafeterias and open air stage offering concerts in the evenings. Highly recommend to visit. We were coming here three times.

This is truly a don't miss attraction but clearly missed by many tourists. The Royal acropolis is spectacular. The Basilica of St. Peter and Paul has 17th and 18th century artworks. For kids, it has a really cool playground, built like a fort. It also has a really nice restaurant. One could spend 1/2 of a day here.

The whole area is up on a hill and is free to enter. There are beautiful, all-round views of Prague, which could take up to an hour, if you want to go all the way around. The cemetry is also beautiful and very well kept. Amazing gravestones! The gardens are lovely too. There are no coachloads of tourists, which is the best thing about coming here . Walk around the peaceful surroundings at your own pace. St Peter & Paul's Basilica is beautiful, and at time of writing, cost CZK 130. I went by 2 trams - 22 and then 18
